  Rooms in Brighton for our gay friends. We are almost a b&b, not an hotel, not a guest house, just offering accommodation without breakfast for gay men.

We have three rooms for guests:

One Cosy Single on the first floor – back: "Cosy"
One Snug Single on the second floor – back: "Snug"
and one Double on the second floor – front: "Seaview"

The single back rooms face eastwards and get the morning sun. The double room is at the front and faces westwards.

The beach is only a few minutes' walk away, as is the city centre.

Directly across the road from us is the Marine Tavern. You can walk down our road to the trendy Amsterdam bar, club and sauna on the corner, or up a block to the equally trendy Legends bar and club. Both have cabaret shows on a regular basis.

  
 
Round the corner is the gay White Horse pub. This is a friendly, traditional gay pub, where you can have a conversation without having to lip-read. A bit farther up the road is the "here" cafe and restaurant, gay-run and up-market. Eating out should be fun, and fun is what Brighton is about ! The here cafe has a good restaurant and free wi-fi internet connexion but St James’s Street, the gay highway, boasts plenty, many of them gay-owned.

Obliquely across St James’s Street from the Strength Cafe is the Bulldog pub, a bit raunchy, but interesting - and open round the clock at weekends. The Zone Bar is a few steps farther up the road. The Star Inn and the White Horse are in streets parallel to ours. The Prowler gay sex shop is on the corner opposite us.

Across St James’s Street is George Street that boasts the Queen’s Arms, and, opposite, the bearish King’s Arms.

You want karaoke? Ya garrid at the Aquarium Bar.

Transister at the Charles Street bar caters for transsexuals and drag wearers - many of them gay.

And there are other gay and Lesbian venues, cafes and shops only a few paces away from us.
No need to find a taxi when the bars close.
